We cover Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham and surrounding areas for wedding cake deliveries. Other cakes such as celebration cakes, we cover Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas. All other orders are collection.
We are always happy for you to send us your bespoke cake design ideas. We can assist you in coming up with one that will suit your needs. Many of our customers have their own ideas of the cake design they would like. We like to say yes to our customers as opposed to no.
We will need to know your design idea, and this is then discussed by phone or via email. For custom cakes that are more intricate, we would prefer a consultation with you. This will allow us to discuss the finer details.
Cake portions get calculated as follows. Fruit cakes get based on one-inch square portions. Sponge cakes get based on two-inch square portions. Please check out the “Guide to cake portions” page for rough details
We do hire out stands and sometimes knives. These items will incur an extra deposit. There will also be a nominal hire charge. We calculate the deposit for these items on the cost to replace them in the event they are not returned, or damaged. On return, the hire charge will get deducted from the deposit you paid. The balance is then returned to you.
We do box our cakes for presentation. For custom cakes, we will always do our best to ensure these get packaged and covered before delivery. Our wedding cakes are always packaged before delivery.
Sponge cakes generally last 5 days, but fruit cake will last for months. We have customers who saved the fruit cake from their wedding and brought it back years later. They then ask us to redecorate the cake for a christening or other occasion.
Ordering a cake will depend on the occasion and design. As a rough guide, a standard wedding cake needs in the region of 4 weeks. We will always do our best to accommodate short notice bookings. Birthday cakes need about 5-10 days. If possible, we will of course try to fit cakes in at shorter notice. Please feel free to check our availability for cakes with short notice.
We do make nut, gluten and dairy free cakes. We do make our allergen cakes in the same place as our other cakes. Our baking area is always cleaned before making. We also always check our sources for assurances of nut free produce. We always tell our customers of any potential issues if we do not get full assurance from our suppliers.

Generally we can provide the flavour requested. Please check out our extensive flavours here (Cake Flavours). If a flavour you need is not listed, please do let us know. We will do our best to accommodate.
This depends on the design that you have chosen. Generally yes everything is edible, but you will notified of non edible items.
All our cakes are fresh to order. We are an Artisan Baker and we make all our own cakes by hand. We only use fresh ingredients. These are then carved and decorated to order using our own recipes.
You can choose up to four different flavours/types of cake. There is no charge for these. Additonal samples may incur a nominal charge.
We will not put fresh flowers directly onto the cake. This can affect the icing. Where required, there will be a layer of acetate or other form of protection. This will seperate the flowers from the cake.
Yes, there is a £50 deposit for wedding cakes and a £25.00 deposit required for celebration cakes. These payments will secure your day for you and are non refundable. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
We can produce cakes in many tiers for you. The amount of tiers depends on the style of the cake. This will also depend on how many guests you wish to cater for. You may also like to know more information on our dummy tiers. Please see the question below ‘Can you add dummy tiers to my cake’.
Yes, providing you store it in a cool place up until the time of presentation and we would suggest that you ensure their is aircon where the cake is to be on display.
Yes we do. Corporate cakes can also include your business colours and logo.
Yes, this has become quite fashionable recently. A display of cupcakes can look fabulous for something different!
Yes you can! Dummy tiers give us the opportunity to add a more dramatic affect to your cake. Whether it is more height or extra features, dummy tiers designed and finished to look like part of the cake. This is becoming more popular with many customers. The image shown to the right is an example of a cake we have produced using dummy tiers. Dummy tiers can also be of use if you are having a more intimate celebration. If you are having a select few people attending, but at the same time would like your cake to have an impact.
