Fender stratocaster
A great birthday for that inspiring or professional guitar player is this Fender Stratocaster replica birthday cake. The body of the fender stratocaster guitar is made from our 12 inch victoria sponge and then, like all of our work, it is carved to scale. Decorated as per the instructions from our customer. They also requested an overlay of the union jack on the facia of this birthday cake. The detailing of the guitar cake includes edible replicas of the guitar detailing such as the bridge, pickups, tremolo and pots.
To give the guitar more of a realistic look, with we custom made the cake board to allow for the overall length, including the neck and head stock of the guitar. The head and neck were enrobed with a wood effect fondant, and then decorated with the frets, inlays and tuning pegs. Once completed we then painted these with edible silver.
To ensure our client had enough portions of cake to cater for their guest we suggested having a guitar amplifier which was made with Jamaican fruit cake then decorated with every little detail in mind (including the plug and lead)
